Shanghai's Imports from ASEAN Surge 64.2% in Jan.-Nov., 2010
According to the statistical data from Shanghai Customs District on Dec., 29, 2010, Shanghai’s exports to ASEAN totaled USD 35.23billion in the first 11 months of 2010, with a growth of 39.6 percent year on year and imports from ASEAN amounted to USD 27.07billion, with a surge of 64.2 percent year on year.
From January to November 2010, Shanghai’s exports to Cambodia, Thailand and Indonesia ranked the top three and the export value reached USD 0.64 billion, USD 5.56 billion and USD 5.72 billion respectively, up by 63.4 percent, 50.8 percent and 45.7 percent compared with a year earlier.
Shanghai’s imports from ASEAN realized a surge of 64.2 percent in the first 11 months of 2010, among which, imports from Myanmar reached USD 40.51 million, with a growth as large as 3.3 times.
